There’s a nationwide strike happening in Belgium on Feb 13 which will impact the main airports in the country – EBBR/Brussels and EBCI/Charleroi. It looks like there won’t be a significant impact at EBLG/Liege and EBOS/Ostende.
EBBR/Brussels: There’s a Notam saying that no airline flights will be allowed to depart all day. The FBO have said that bizav flights will still be able to operate – the only possible issue could be ATC staffing, which might cause some delays. Contact them at hostess.belgium@execujet.com for more info.
EBCI/Charleroi: There’s a Notam saying that no outbound flights will be possible, and only incoming Schengen flights will be allowed. The FBO says that they will be open, but potable water and toilet waste services will not be available. They have confirmed that fuel will be available. Contact them at general.aviation@charleroi-airport.com for more info.
EBLG/Liege: Nothing on the Notams. The FBO says things are looking fine. Handling and Customs are still available, but ATC is pending – they don’t have any info from them yet. Contact them at handling@aslgroup.eu for more info.
EBOS/Ostende: Nothing on the Notams here either. The local handler says they shouldn’t be affected by these strikes – the airport might have some diversions but that should be it. Contact them at info@nsac.aero for more info.
