Now, there is <strong>just one red list<\/strong>, and then the rest of the world. There&#8217;s one set of rules for the red list, and one set of rules for everywhere else.<\/p>\n<h4>Red list rules<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">England <strong>r<\/strong><\/span><b>emoved 47 countries from its red list<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as of Oct 11. So from that date,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the only countries remaining on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the red list<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are now: Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Basically, passengers who have been to a red list country within the past 10 days can only enter England if they are a British\/Irish National, or have residence rights in the UK. And when they arrive, they must stay in a managed quarantine hotel\u00a0 for 10 days.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/red-list-of-countries-and-territories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Check here<\/a> for full info.<\/p>\n<h4>Rules for everywhere else<\/h4>\n<p>This depends on whether a passenger has been vaccinated or not:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Vaccinated Passengers<br \/>\n<\/em><\/span>There is no requirement to get a test prior to travelling, or to quarantine on arrival. Pax will still have to get tested a couple of days later, but cheaper\/easier options are coming.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated Passengers<br \/>\n<\/em><\/span>It\u2019s not great news. Unvaccinated pax will still need to get a pre-travel test within three days of their flight but here\u2019s the real kicker: they will have to isolate for ten days on arrival (from anywhere).\u00a0Fortunately, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/coronavirus-covid-19-test-to-release-for-international-travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">test-to-release scheme<\/a> is still be running to get out of self-isolation early.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Check here<\/a> for full info.<\/p>\n<h4>Which vaccines are accepted?<\/h4>\n<p>Oxford\/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, Janssen &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/countries-with-approved-covid-19-vaccination-programmes-and-proof-of-vaccination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plus a few other permutations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Oct 11, England added 37 more destinations to its<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/countries-with-approved-covid-19-vaccination-programmes-and-proof-of-vaccination\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">list of countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, meaning that arrivals from these places will be able to avoid more expensive post-arrival testing requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>The UK or England?<\/h4>\n<p>These rules in their entirety <strong>only affect arrivals in England<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/news\/international-travel-restrictions-to-be-relaxed-and-simplified\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.wales\/rules-foreign-travel-and-wales-coronavirus-covid-19-html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wales<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nidirect.gov.uk\/articles\/coronavirus-covid-19-travel-advice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Northern Ireland<\/a> have all got their own sets of rules.<\/p>\n<h4>What about crew?<\/h4>\n<p>England has a dedicated page on the rules for crew, which you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-travellers-exempt-from-uk-border-rules\/coronavirus-covid-19-travellers-exempt-from-uk-border-rules#aircraft-pilots-and-crew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">read here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The key points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crew do not need a Covid test to enter England, even if they have been in a red list country.<\/li>\n<li>Crew who live in the UK do not need to quarantine, even if they have been in a red list country.<\/li>\n<li>Crew who <strong>do not live in the UK\u00a0<\/strong>must quarantine in their hotel until departure if they are not fully vaccinated, or for a full 10 days if they have been in a red list country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>England\u2019s entry rules became much simpler from October 4, with the scrapping of the traffic&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":32,"featured_media":11776,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[1963,214,213],"class_list":{"0":"post-9791","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-briefings","8":"tag-england","9":"tag-uk","10":"tag-united-kingdom"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9791","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/32"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=9791"}],"version-history":[{"count":34,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9791\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":15584,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9791\/revisions\/15584"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/11776"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9791"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=9791"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=9791"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
