{"id":3491,"date":"2018-02-06T14:16:26","date_gmt":"2018-02-06T19:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/?p=3491"},"modified":"2020-05-27T09:52:25","modified_gmt":"2020-05-27T13:52:25","slug":"bangladesh-is-now-one-big-adiz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/bangladesh-is-now-one-big-adiz\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangladesh is now one big ADIZ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Bangladesh has decided to establish an ADIZ over the entire country, including a massive chunk of airspace off their south coastline that actually extends over much of the adjoining Indian VECF\/Kolkata FIR.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Aircraft intending to fly into, through, or within this new Bangladesh ADIZ must now obtain an ADC (Air Defence Clearance) number beforehand. Just file your flight plan, and they will send this to you by AFTN. Make sure you write it down &#8211; as they will ask you for it on HF before you enter their airspace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you don\u2019t have AFTN access, you can get the number by calling +880-2890-1081 or emailing <strong><a href=\"mailto:adnc@baf.mil.bd\">adnc@baf.mil.bd<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The authorities in Bangladesh have released a scary sounding AIP SUP on all this, which you can read in full <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caab.gov.bd\/aip\/sup\/aipsup01-18.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>. FOR THE TIME BEING DOMESTIC FLT AND FLT OF STATE ACFT AND<br \/>\nGENERAL AVIATION ACFT OF BANGLADESH SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED<br \/>\nTO OBTAIN ADC NUMBER<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">So you won&#8217;t need an ADC number on those airways, but for everywhere else in that big red ice pick-shaped chunk of airspace, you\u2019ll need to get authorisation.
