Both Donald Trump and Xi Jinping are expected to attend, along with leaders from 21 member countries. That means tight security and plenty of disruption at airports across the country from around <strong data-start=\"355\" data-end=\"374\">Oct 25 to Nov 3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"517\">If you\u2019re operating a BizAv flight to Korea during that week, what you can do depends on <strong>whether you\u2019re flying with APEC pax or without them.\u00a0<\/strong>So that means delegates, government officials, or anyone else going to the event. <em>To not make the rest of this article too wordy, we&#8217;re going to call these &#8220;APEC-related&#8221; flights!<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"517\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-28906\" src=\"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-Korea-APEC-1024x673.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"673\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-Korea-APEC-1024x673.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-Korea-APEC-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-Korea-APEC-768x505.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-Korea-APEC-1536x1010.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-Korea-APEC.jpg 2027w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"619\">If you\u2019re APEC-related<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"619\">Your life will be easier, but still tightly controlled.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"622\" data-end=\"879\"><strong data-start=\"622\" data-end=\"641\">RKSI\/Incheon:<\/strong> The main international gateway and the primary arrival point for heads of state. Only APEC-related flights will be allowed to park or operate here until Nov 3. Expect strict ramp control and ground handling reserved for official delegation movements.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"622\" data-end=\"879\"><strong data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"898\">RKTN\/Daegu<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"921\">RKTH\/Pohang:<\/strong> Both near Gyeongju and being used as APEC support airports. Only APEC-related flights will be allowed in here during this period, but only for quick turns. Parking is limited to about an hour and a half, with no overnights. RKTH\/Pohang is a domestic airport but will open to international flights between Oct 25 &#8211; Nov 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1314\">If you\u2019re not APEC-related<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1314\">For regular BizAv flights, options are limited.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1539\"><strong data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1334\">RKSS\/Gimpo:<\/strong> This is your best shot. It\u2019s open for everyone &#8211; regular BizAv, diplomatic, APEC-related and non-APEC related, though ramp space is scarce. Parking is capped at five days, and slot requests should be made early. Expect congestion.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1539\"><strong data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1566\">RKPK\/Busan:<\/strong> A confusing one! It&#8217;s only available to <em>diplomatic flights<\/em> from Oct 27 &#8211; Nov 2. So that&#8217;s only the highest tier of APEC-related flights, we&#8217;re guessing. PPR is also required, as RKPK is a military airport.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1539\"><strong data-start=\"1661\" data-end=\"1678\">RKPU\/Ulsan:<\/strong> Domestic only, not available for APEC flights, and parking suspended.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1755\" data-end=\"1954\">As of now, there are <strong data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1804\">no SUPs, AICs, or Notams<\/strong> published setting out these restrictions. Expect last-minute Notams later this week once security plans are finalised.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1755\" data-end=\"1954\">If you\u2019re carrying APEC pax, expect strict time limits at RKTN\/Daegu or RKTH\/Pohang. If you\u2019re flying a regular BizAv flight into South Korea, plan on using RKSS\/Gimpo and book now! RKSI\/Incheon and the nearby regional airports will be off-limits for you.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2336\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">A high-security, high-traffic week is coming &#8211; plan accordingly and keep checking for updates!
