Spring is upon us, and so is Spring Break. <\/strong>Traffic volumes into Florida<\/strong> and the Caribbean<\/strong> typically surge in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Up in New York, this is causing a traffic jam over the WHITE departure fix<\/strong> for southbound GA traffic departing KTEB\/Teterboro and KHPN\/Westchester .<\/p>\n

The FAA has issued a request<\/a> to operators to consider filing via alternative \u2018offload\u2019 routes<\/strong> instead during peak times \u2013 specifically, Thursday to Saturday.<\/p>\n

This will help expedite departures from FBO ramps and reduce mile-in-trail delays over WHITE.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a quick look at those alternative options.<\/h4>\n

Departing for West Coast Florida:<\/em><\/p>\n

Departing for South Florida and the Caribbean (*must be deep water capable):<\/em><\/p>\n

One other route to consider.<\/h4>\n

If departing KHPN\/Westchester<\/strong> between 1000 and 2000z for any Florida destination, the FAA also suggests considering filing via HPN.JFK.WAVEY.EMJAY.Q167.ZJAAY.KALDA. We asked the FAA about the timings, and they were advised this is due to peak flow in and out of KJFK\/New York.<\/p>\n

It’s just an ask.<\/h4>\n

You can still plan via WHITE if you’d like too, but expect extra delays.<\/p>\n
