However, we will keep this page updated with the latest news as we get it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sections of NAT airspace are set to close on various different dates in October. This is all due to U.S. and NATO joint military exercise that&#8217;s going on, called Formidable Shield, which will mean huge chucks of airspace will be closed to civil ops for many hours.<\/p>\n<p>The basics for each event are the same:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Airspace closed, SFC-UNL.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aircraft capable of flying in MNPS airspace will have to keep at least 30nm away from the area, other aircraft will need to keep 60nm away.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Event 1<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Happened on 25th Sep.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Event 2<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Happened on 7th Oct.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Event 4<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Happened on 15th Oct. <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(Yes, Event 4 happened before Event 3 &#8211; just to confuse us!)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Event 3<\/strong> <\/span><\/span>&#8211;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> Happened on\u00a017th Oct.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update 18th Oct: No more events are planned at this time.
