At SPQU\/Arequipa, reports indicate that there has been damage to the runway, ATC office, perimeter fences, safety signs, and more.<\/p>\n<p>There were widespread demonstrations in Lima on Jan 19. Protests have been ongoing since early December, and the security situation may change without warning.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-11r1m41-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<h4>Advice for crew<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-11r1m41-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<ul>\n<li>Any crew overnighting in Lima are advised to<strong> stay close to the airport<\/strong> and not travel in the city.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid making any comments<\/strong> about the government or the situation.<\/li>\n<li>Operations may be impacted if protestors<strong> block access roads<\/strong>, and security is likely to be much higher leading to some delays and disruption.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/traveladvisories\/traveladvisories\/peru-travel-advisory.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The US advice<\/a> is to <strong>reconsider travel to Peru<\/strong> at this time.
