Nicole is forecast to move across Florida this morning towards the Gulf Coast, and then move north up along the Florida Panhandle and Georgia tonight and Friday.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\">National Hurricane Center\u2019s Advisory, issued 4am EST Nov 10:<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20305\" src=\"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NICOLE-10NOV-4AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"897\" height=\"736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NICOLE-10NOV-4AM.png 897w, https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NICOLE-10NOV-4AM-300x246.png 300w, https:\/\/ops.group\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NICOLE-10NOV-4AM-768x630.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px\" \/><\/p>\n<pre>At 400 AM EST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Nicole was\r\nlocated inland over east-central Florida near latitude 27.8 North, \r\nlongitude 80.7 West. Nicole is moving toward the west-northwest \r\nnear 14 mph (22 km\/h). A turn toward the northwest and \r\nnorth-northwest is expected later today and tonight, followed by an \r\nacceleration toward the north and north-northeast on Friday. On \r\nthe forecast track, the center of Nicole will move across central \r\nFlorida this morning, possibly emerge over the far northeastern \r\nGulf of Mexico this afternoon, and then moving across the Florida \r\nPanhandle and Georgia tonight and on Friday.\r\n\r\nMaximum sustained winds have decreased to near 70 mph (110 km\/h) \r\nwith higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast while \r\nNicole moves over land during the next day or two, and the storm is \r\nlikely to become a tropical depression over Georgia tonight or \r\nearly Friday. Nicole is expected to merge with a frontal boundary \r\nover the Mid-Atlantic United States by Friday night.\r\n\r\nNicole remains a large tropical storm. Tropical-storm-force winds \r\nextend outward up to 450 miles (720 km) from the center, \r\nespecially to the north. A sustained wind of 47 mph (76 km\/h) and a \r\ngust to 62 mph (100 km\/h) were recently reported at Patrick Air \r\nForce Base, Florida. Winds are increasing near the west coast of \r\nFlorida. A sustained wind of 38 mph (61 km\/h) and a gust to 45 mph \r\n(72 km\/h) were recently reported at Clearwater Beach.\r\n\r\nThe estimated minimum central pressure based on surface \r\nobservations is 981 mb (28.97 inches).<\/pre>\n<h4>Airport Closures<\/h4>\n<p>Several airports across the region are now closed for the passage of the storm.
